The Walker residence is a transitional-style custom home in Cotswold — one of Charlotte's most established and tree-lined neighborhoods. We designed and built this home for a family that wanted timeless architectural lines paired with the open, light-filled interiors of modern living.

Inside, a vaulted great room with whitewashed brick fireplace and flanking built-ins opens directly onto a chef's kitchen anchored by a walnut island, Wolf range, and custom shiplap hood. A sun-drenched breakfast room with bay windows extends the daily living space, while the formal dining area features a wet bar with built-in beverage display. The first-floor primary suite is a quiet retreat with vaulted ceiling, French doors to a private deck, and a spa bath finished in white oak millwork and book-matched marble.

Upstairs, an entertainer's lounge with a full wet bar and kegerator anchors the bonus level alongside generous secondary bedrooms. Outdoors, a deep covered deck with stained tongue-and-groove ceiling and outdoor fireplace looks across a fenced rear yard. Every material — from the exterior board-and-batten and standing-seam roofing to the interior millwork — was chosen to feel current today and still elegant twenty years from now.
